Poplar Short Plate Sprung Door Knob - Antique Brass
Our Poplar design is our take on the classic Victorian beehive knob.
Weâve streamlined things, giving it a flatter knob and, in this case, a low-profile, short backplate. Itâll work well in period properties with a contemporary edge, or by bringing a traditional touch to new builds.
The knob is sprung, which means you donât need to rely on the latchâs spring for its movement. Weâve opted for a light spring, so it takes very little effort to turn.
Thereâs also no danger of it coming away in your hand â weâve engineered the backplate and knob to be inseparable.
Antique brass is whatâs called a âlivingâ finish because it reacts to the air and moisture around it, causing it to darken (especially in the areas you touch most). Weâve given it a head start by ageing it by hand, so it has that antique look right out the box.
- Made from solid brass
- 4mm backplate with screwless âfrontâ side
- Super smooth turn thanks to self-lubricating, high-tolerance bushings
- Longer handle neck for a comfortable grip
- Designed for use with a tubular latch
- Engineered to fit all standard door thicknesses
- When retrofitting, youâll need to use our door handle installation tool
- Suitable for interior and exterior doors
